How to Get to HYROX London

Let’s figure out the best way to get you there!
By Plane
✈️ Nearest Airport: London has several airports, but the most convenient ones for getting to Olympia are:
- Heathrow Airport (LHR): This is the closest large airport, about 14 miles (22 km) west of Olympia.
- Gatwick Airport (LGW): A bit further south, about 30 miles (48 km) from Olympia. It might have some cheaper flights, but the journey to Olympia will take longer.
- London City Airport (LCY): Closer to central London, but much less international flight options.
🚖 Getting to the Venue:
- Taxi/Rideshare: You can grab a taxi or use a ride-sharing app like Uber or Bolt at any of the airports. Just be warned, London traffic can be really unpredictable, so the ride time can vary a lot. Heathrow to Olympia can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour (or even more!), Gatwick will take even longer. Check the fare before you get in.
- From Heathrow:
- Piccadilly Line (Underground/Tube): This is usually the fastest and cheapest way. Take the Piccadilly Line directly to Earl’s Court station. From there, it’s a short walk (about 5-10 minutes) to Olympia.
- Heathrow Express: This fast train goes to Paddington Station. From Paddington, you can take the Underground (District or Circle Line) to Kensington Olympia. It’s quicker than the Piccadilly Line, but a bit more money.
- From Gatwick:
- Gatwick Express: This train goes to Victoria Station. From Victoria, you can take the Underground (District or Circle Line) to Kensington Olympia.
- Southern Rail: Other trains also run from Gatwick to Victoria and other London stations. Check the train times.
- From London City Airport:
- DLR and Underground: Take the DLR (Docklands Light Railway) to Bank station, then transfer to the Central Line to Notting Hill Gate. From there, it’s a short walk or quick bus to Olympia.
By Train/Underground (Tube)
🚇 Nearest Stations: The closest stations to Olympia are:
- Kensington Olympia: This station is right next to Olympia. The District and Overground lines serve it.
- Earl’s Court: A short walk (5-10 minutes) away. Served by the Piccadilly, District, and Circle Lines.

💡 Travel Tips:
✔️ Plan your route: Use the TfL website or app to plan your journey well in advance. London’s transport system can be confusing if you’re not used to it.
✔️ Check for delays: Always check the TfL website or app for any delays or disruptions before you leave.
✔️ Oyster Card/Contactless Payment: Get an Oyster card (a reusable travel card) or use contactless payment (credit/debit card or phone) for easy travel on the Underground and buses. It’s much cheaper than buying individual tickets.
✔️ Arrive early: Give yourself plenty of time (at least 1-2 hours) to travel to Olympia, find your way around (it’s a big place!), check in, and warm up. London can be busy, so it’s always better to be early.
✔️ Stay nearby: Staying near Olympia or near a Tube station on the District or Piccadilly Line will make your life much easier.
✔️ Cash & Cards: Most places in London accept credit/debit cards, but it’s always good to have some British Pounds (£) on hand for small things or just in case.
