How to Get to HYROX New York

By Plane
✈️ Nearest Airports: New York City has three major airports:
- John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK): This is a big international airport in Queens.
- Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR): This is in New Jersey, but it’s still a common airport for NYC.
- LaGuardia Airport (LGA): This is in Queens and is used mostly for domestic flights.
🚖 Getting to the Venue:
- Taxi/Rideshare: You can grab a taxi or use a ride-sharing app like Uber or Lyft from any of the airports. Just be warned, New York City traffic can be really bad, so the ride time can vary a lot. JFK and EWR will take longer than LGA to get to 12th Ave. Check the fare before you get in.
- From JFK:
- AirTrain and Subway: This is normally the cheapest way. Take the AirTrain from your terminal to Jamaica Station. Then, transfer to the E train towards Manhattan. Get off at 34th Street-Penn Station, and walk or take a bus to the venue.
- From EWR:
- NJ Transit Train: Take the NJ Transit train from Newark Airport to New York Penn Station. From Penn Station, you can walk or take a bus to 12th Ave.
- From LGA:
- Bus and Subway: Take the Q70 bus (LaGuardia Link) to the 74th Street-Broadway/Roosevelt Avenue subway station. Then, transfer to the E train towards Manhattan. Get off at 34th Street-Penn Station, and walk or take a bus to the venue.
By Train/Subway
🚇 Nearest Subway Stations: The closest subway stations to 408 12th Ave West are:
- 34th Street-Penn Station (A, C, E trains): This is a major hub. From there, you can walk or take a bus.
- 34th Street-Hudson Yards (7 train): This station is also close by.
By Car
🚗 Navigation: Type “408 12th Ave West, New York, NY 10018” into Google Maps, Waze, or Apple Maps.

🚙 Parking: Parking in Manhattan is really difficult and expensive. Public transport is strongly recommended. If you must drive, be prepared for high parking fees and limited availability.
📌 Public Transport Resources:
- MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority): This is the website for all public transport in New York City (subway, buses, LIRR, Metro-North). You’ll definitely need this to get around. They also have a very useful app.
- NJ Transit: For train travel from New Jersey.
- AirTrain (JFK): For travel from JFK Airport.
💡 Travel Tips:
✔️ Plan your route: Use the MTA website or app to plan your journey well in advance. The NYC subway system can be confusing.
✔️ MetroCard/OMNY: Get a MetroCard (a reusable travel card) or use OMNY (contactless payment) for easy travel on the subway and buses. It’s cheaper than buying individual tickets.
✔️ Arrive early: Give yourself plenty of time (at least 1-2 hours) to travel to 12th Ave, find your way around, check in, and warm up. NYC can be busy, so it’s always better to be early.
✔️ Stay nearby: Staying in Midtown Manhattan or near a subway station will make your life much easier.
✔️ Cash & Cards: Most places in NYC accept credit/debit cards, but it’s always good to have some US Dollars ($) on hand for small things or just in case.
✔️ Walking: New York is a walking city. Be prepared to walk a lot, especially from subway stations to the venue.
