By Plane

✈️ Nearest Airport: Paris has two main international airports:

  • Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG): This is the larger airport, about 25 km (15.5 miles) northeast of the Grand Palais.
  • Orly Airport (ORY): This airport is closer to central Paris, about 15 km (9 miles) south of the Grand Palais, but may have fewer international flight options.

🚖 Getting to the Grand Palais:

  • Taxi/Rideshare: Taxis are available at both airports. Ride-sharing services like Uber operate in Paris. Travel time to the Grand Palais from either airport can vary (30-60 minutes or more) depending on traffic. Traffic in Paris can be heavy, especially during peak hours. Be prepared for potential delays. Fares also vary; confirm the price with the driver or check the app.
  • From CDG:
    • RER B Train: Take the RER B to Gare du Nord. Then, transfer to Metro Line 13 to Champs-Élysées – Clemenceau or Line 1 to Franklin D. Roosevelt, which are the closest Metro stations to the Grand Palais. Journey time: 30-40 minutes (plus Metro transfer time).
    • Roissybus: This bus goes directly to Opéra. From Opéra, you can walk (about 15-20 minutes) or take Metro Line 8 to Concorde and then transfer to Line 1 or 13 to reach the Grand Palais area. Journey time: ~60 minutes (plus transfer time).
  • From ORY:
    • RER B Train: Take the Orlyval to Antony, then the RER B to Gare du Nord. Transfer to the Metro (Line 13 or 1) as described above.
    • Orlybus: Take the Orlybus to Denfert-Rochereau. Then, connect to Metro Line 6 to Charles de Gaulle-Étoile and transfer to Line 1 to reach the Grand Palais area.

By Train

🚆 Nearest Train Station: For reaching the Grand Palais, the most relevant train stations are:

  • Gare du Nord: Connects to Metro Line 13 (direct to Champs-Élysées – Clemenceau) or Line 4 to connect to Line 1.
  • Gare Saint-Lazare: Connects to Metro Line 14, which offers quick access to the area.
  • Gare de Lyon: Connects to Metro Line 14, which connects to lines near the Grand Palais.

By Metro (Métro)

🚇 The closest Metro stations to the Grand Palais are Champs-Élysées – Clemenceau (Lines 1 and 13) and Franklin D. Roosevelt (Lines 1 and 9). Use the RATP website or app to plan your route to these stations. These stations provide direct access to the Grand Palais.

By Bus

🚌 Several bus lines serve the Grand Palais area, including 28, 42, 73, 80, 83, and 93. However, the Metro is generally faster and more convenient. Use the RATP website to check bus routes and schedules if needed.

By Car
