FAQ’s
How long should a 1000m row take in HYROX?
A good 1000 m row time depends on experience and fitness level:
- Recreational competitors: typically 3:45 – 4:15 minutes
- Intermediate athletes: around 3:30 – 3:45 minutes
- Elite performers: often 3:15 minutes or faster
These are typical splits athletes aim for within the HYROX row station.
How much do HYROX athletes get paid?
HYROX offers prize money at elite and major events — but payment depends on level and event type:
- At HYROX Majors (2025/26 season), Elite 15 athletes receive prize money from 1st to 15th place, with 1st place around $15,000 and descending payouts for finishers.
- At the HYROX World Championship, payouts are larger — for example the 2025 event awarded $30,000 to the winners and scaled amounts through 15th place.
Prize money is generally reserved for the Elite/pro fields — most age-group/open racers don’t receive cash, although top finishers in elite categories do.
