How to Get to HYROX Berlin

Let’s get you sorted with the best ways to get there!

By Plane

✈️ Nearest Airport: Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) is your best bet. It’s the main airport serving Berlin and is located about 20 km (12 miles) southeast of Tempelhof.

🚖 Getting to the Venue:

  • Taxi/Rideshare: You can easily grab a taxi or use a ride-sharing app like Uber or Bolt at the airport. The ride to Tempelhof will take about 20-30 minutes, but it can take longer during rush hour. Just check the fare before you get in.
  • S-Bahn and U-Bahn: This is the fastest and most reliable way most of the time. Take the S-Bahn (S9 or S45) from BER Airport to Südkreuz station. Then, transfer to the U6 U-Bahn line and get off at Platz der Luftbrücke station. The Tempelhof venue is right there!

By Train

🚆 Nearest Train Station: Südkreuz station is a major train hub in Berlin. From there, you can easily connect to the U6 U-Bahn line to get to Platz der Luftbrücke. Berlin has a great train network, so it’s easy to get to Südkreuz from other cities in Germany.

By U-Bahn (Subway)

🚇 Nearest U-Bahn Station: Platz der Luftbrücke (U6 line) is directly at the Tempelhof venue.

By Bus

🚌 Several bus lines also stop near the Tempelhof venue. You can use the BVG website or app to figure out which bus goes closest to Platz der Luftbrücke.

By Car

🚗 Navigation: Type “Berlin Tempelhof Hangar 5 and Airfield, Platz der Luftbrücke 5, 12101 Berlin, Germany” into Google Maps, Waze, or Apple Maps.

🚙 Parking: Tempelhof is a big area, but parking can still be tricky, especially during events. It’s a good idea to arrive early if you’re driving, or consider using public transport to avoid parking headaches. Check for parking options near the venue.

✔️ Check transport schedules: Use the BVG website or app to check the U-Bahn, S-Bahn, and bus schedules before you leave.

✔️ Arrive early: Give yourself plenty of time (at least 1-2 hours) to travel to Tempelhof, find your way around (it’s a big area!), check in, and warm up. It’s better to be early than late!

✔️ Stay nearby: If you can, try to find a hotel or accommodation near a U6 line station. This will make getting to the venue much easier.

✔️ Day Ticket/WelcomeCard: If you’re going to be using public transport a lot in Berlin, get a day ticket or a Berlin WelcomeCard. It’s cheaper than buying individual tickets every time.

✔️ Cash & Cards: Most places in Berlin accept credit/debit cards, but it’s always good to have some Euros (€) on hand for small things or just in case.
