FAQ’s

Is 1 hour a good time for HYROX?

Yes — finishing HYROX in around 1 hour is an excellent result. Most athletes complete the race between 1 hour 15 minutes and 1 hour 40 minutes, depending on category and experience. A 60-minute finish puts you well above average and into a competitive standard for most divisions.

What do you need to bring to a HYROX?

You’ll need a few race-day essentials:

  • Photo ID and race confirmation
  • Race clothing and tested shoes
  • Energy gels or nutrition (if you plan to fuel during the race)
  • Water bottle for pre- and post-race
  • Small bag for bag drop
  • Towel and spare clothes for after you finish

Keep it minimal — everything you race with must be on you from the start.

Can you bring food to HYROX?

Yes — you can bring food such as energy gels as long as it’s carried on your person from the start of the race. You cannot accept food or drinks from spectators during the event. Official aid stations provide water and, at some events, sports drink.
