How to Get to HYROX Atlanta
Let’s figure out the best way to get you there!
By Plane
✈️ Nearest Airport: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is the closest airport and it’s a big one! It’s about 10 miles (16 km) south of downtown Atlanta, where the HYROX venue is located.
🚖 Getting to the Venue:
- Taxi/Rideshare: You can easily grab a taxi or use a ride-sharing app like Uber or Lyft at the airport. The ride downtown usually takes about 20-30 minutes, but Atlanta traffic can be tricky, so it could take longer, especially during rush hour. Be sure to check the fare before you hop in!
- MARTA: MARTA is Atlanta’s public transportation system. You can take the MARTA train directly from the airport to downtown Atlanta. It’s usually a pretty quick and easy way to get there. You’ll want to get off at a station near the venue, like Peachtree Center or Civic Center.
By Train
🚆 Nearest Train Station: If you’re coming from outside Atlanta, you might be arriving at a different train station. But for HYROX, you’ll want to get to the Peachtree Station (Amtrak) as that’s the easiest way to get to the venue. From there it’s a 30 min walk or 7 mins by taxi.
Check the MARTA website for how to connect from other train stations in Atlanta.
By Bus
🚌 MARTA Bus: MARTA also has buses that go all over Atlanta. You can use the MARTA website or app to figure out which bus goes closest to 285 Andrew Young International Blvd NW.

💡 Travel Tips:
✔️ Check traffic: Atlanta traffic can be pretty unpredictable. Use a navigation app to see how the traffic is before you leave, especially if you’re driving.
✔️ Get there early: Give yourself at least 1-2 hours before your race starts to get to the venue, park (if you’re driving), check in, and warm up. It’s better to be early than late!
✔️ Stay nearby: If you can, try to find a hotel downtown or near a MARTA station. This will make getting to the venue much easier.
✔️ Breeze Card: If you’re going to be using MARTA a lot, get a Breeze Card. It’s a reusable card that you can load money onto, and it makes paying for the train and bus much faster.
✔️ Cash & Cards: Most places in Atlanta accept credit cards, but it’s always good to have some US dollars ($) on hand for small things, tips, or just in case a place doesn’t take cards.
Disclaimer: Travel times and costs are estimates and may vary. Always refer to the official HYROX website and the websites of transportation providers for the most up-to-date information and to help plan your route.
