How to Get to HYROX Sharjah
📍 HYROX Sharjah is at Expo Centre Sharjah, located in the heart of the city.
By Plane
✈️ Nearest Airport: Sharjah International Airport (SHJ) is the closest airport, about 15 km (9 miles) from Expo Centre Sharjah.
Another option is Dubai International Airport (DXB), about 30 km (18.6 miles) away. While DXB offers a lot more international flight options, the greater distance to Sharjah should be considered when choosing your flights.
🚖 Getting to the Venue:
- Taxi/Rideshare: Taxis are readily available at both airports. Ride-hailing services like Uber and Careem operate in the UAE and are a good option. Be aware that fares can vary depending on traffic and time of day. Agree on a fare with the taxi driver beforehand or use the app for rideshares.
- Public Transport:
- From SHJ: Sharjah’s public buses connect the airport to various locations, including areas near Expo Centre Sharjah. Check the SRTA website for routes and schedules.
- From DXB: You have several options:
- Taxi/Rideshare: This is usually the fastest and most convenient, but also the most expensive.
- Metro + Bus: Take the Dubai Metro to a station with connections to Sharjah’s bus network (e.g., Union Metro Station or Etisalat Metro Station). Then, transfer to a Sharjah bus heading towards Expo Centre Sharjah. This option is cheaper but takes longer.
