How to Get to HYROX Incheon

Let’s figure out how to get you there!

By Plane

✈️ Nearest Airport: Incheon International Airport (ICN) is the main airport serving Incheon and Seoul. It’s very close to Songdo Convensia, which is handy.

🚖 Getting to the Venue:

  • Taxi/Rideshare: You can easily grab a taxi or use ride-sharing apps like Kakao T (the most popular one in Korea) at the airport. The ride to Songdo Convensia is really quick, about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic.
  • Airport Railroad (AREX) & Metro: This is a really convenient option! Take the AREX train from the airport to Incheon National University Station. Then, it’s a short walk (about 10 minutes) to Songdo Convensia. This is often the fastest and most cost-effective way to get there. 

By Train/Metro

🚇 Nearest Metro Station: Incheon National University Station (인천대입구역) on the Incheon Line 1 is the closest station to Songdo Convensia. You can get to this station from other parts of Incheon and Seoul using the subway system.

By Bus

🚌 Incheon has a good bus system. There are bus routes that go near Songdo Convensia. You can use online Korean map apps or the Naver Map or KakaoMap apps to find the best bus route.

By Car

🚗 Navigation: Type “Songdo Convensia, 123 Central Street, Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, Korea 21998” into Google Maps, Naver Map, or KakaoMap.

  • AREX (Airport Railroad): This is the website for the airport train.

💡 Travel Tips:

✔️ T-money Card: Get a T-money card as soon as you arrive. It’s a rechargeable card that you can use on the subway, buses, and even some taxis and convenience stores. It’s super convenient and saves you from buying individual tickets.

✔️ Check subway schedules: Use the Seoul Metro website or app (or Naver Map/KakaoMap) to check the subway schedules before you travel.

✔️ Arrive early: Give yourself plenty of time (at least 1-2 hours) to travel to Songdo Convensia, find your way around, check in, and warm up. It’s better to be early than late!

✔️ Stay nearby: If you can find a hotel or accommodation in Songdo, it will make getting to HYROX much easier.

✔️ Learn a few Korean phrases: While English is spoken in tourist areas, knowing a few basic Korean phrases can be very helpful.

✔️ Download map apps: Download Naver Map or KakaoMap before you arrive in Korea. Google Maps can be less accurate in Korea, so these local apps are essential.

Incheon Grand Park: This park has it all: a zoo, a garden, and tons of space to just hang out. It’s a perfect place to chill out and enjoy nature.

Jayu Park (Freedom Park): This hilly park is known for its beautiful flowers in the spring and colorful leaves in the fall. It’s a great place for a walk with some nice views.
